It is a very powerful work of minor pieces (after the bigger guys did their nice job for them Smile). Surprised I didn't know this combination by Tarrasch. Thanks to you both Smile

Wow, and White also had the self-control NOT to fork the K and Q on move 3!  I'm afraid that I would have given in to the temptation.

This was one of my first puzzles that my dad brought to my attention when I was new to Chess. It highlights the effectiveness of Knights, and Bishops working in sync. Especially, when attacks are launched from central squares.  

 

The mate in 10 could be achieved with a pointless block by Bishop at move 18)…Be3

19) Bxe3+ Kh5  20) Rf5+ Bxf5  21) Ng3…mates in 4
