Hi Everyone

This is my first game of the Season and first blog post. See Meadows blog for a good account of the night. As always, I was glued to my chair the whole evening as if I was playing Derren Brown(*) so didn't see any other games. My opponent played the Philidor defence which I have tried as black but with little success. He tried a Queen side pawn attack but his exposed king and undeveloped queen side pieces were his downfall.
