London 1851: Szen vs Newham Round 1.1

Submitted by Blunderprone on Thu, 05/08/2008 at 6:54pm.

DOUBLE CONNECTED PASSED PAWNS ON  6TH RANK BEATS A ROOK.

Key Points:

1)Szen shows his engame abilities and focus early on in the game.

2) Szen cleverly sacrifices a c-pawn to eventually grab a key square.

3) Connected passed pawns can beat a rook if the opposing king can't come close to support the rook.
