Reverse Hook techniques

The reverse hook is one of the most versatile taekwondo kick. Done with the rear leg in a spinning fashion, it can generate enough power to knock someone out. But there are many techniques. Take a look !

Front Reverse Hook with Lead Leg

Everyone expects a roundhouse kick with the front leg, seldom a reverse hook. This can catch them offguard !

Front Reverse Hook with Rear Leg

This is yet another tricky kick. The kick starts off as though it is a roundhouse kick but changes direction in the last minute.

Sliding Reverse Hook

Everyone knows the sliding side kick, but what about with a reverse hook !?!? Just when your opponent is expecting the kick to come in straight....it goes off in a different direction !

Spinning Reverse Hook with Rear Leg ( traditional style )

This is how the spinning reverse hook is done in the traditional manner. The whole leg is fully extended and left as such in the whole trajectory of the kick.

Spinning Reverse Hook with Rear Leg ( modern style )

This is how the spinning reverse hook is done nowadays. The knee is chambered and the foot is snapped out at the last minute. The snapping movement generates a lot of power in the kick.

Some of the techniques demonstrated here are terrible and pooly executed. They also lack spirit and are simply 'tip tap' rubbish.
