SD for Women - Leg Prise

Submitted by Bodhidharma on Mon, 06/09/2008 at 4:05am.

A video demonstration is available at http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=tdOsi6iVfe4
This technique relies on your assailant unwittingly helping you. When the assailant tries to prise your legs apart, he will exert a lot of force on your legs which you can use to support you.

Crunching your abdominal muscles, you sit up aided by your assailant’s support on your legs.

Elbow him in the face

Be prepared - when he lets go of your legs – the support he provided is no longer there,  you will fall back.

Brace yourself with your hands and forearms so that you don’t hit your head on the ground. Make use of this falling away to raise one of your legs and kick at the assailant.

Get up and make your getaway

I would like to add a punching style I was taught in college.

Instead of an immediate elbow to the face, strike with knuckles or ring finger/s, followed by an elbow. As if it was a follow-through punch, via two smacks to the face.

BTW – that’s a neat idea…attaching a video demo on the technique. Thank you for that!
