The Wild Chess

Submitted by BudPiney on Sun, 07/06/2008 at 5:12am.

I'm a newbie to Chess.com but I love it already. I'm an average level player and hate it when someone beats me, which happens a lot, so I'm used to it and try to learn from every game I play.

I just learned how to post a puzzle (trial and error) which was fun, and even more fun were the responses people sent. Some liked my puzzle, some thought it stupidly easy, but it seems everyone said what they felt about it without pulling any punches.

That's the "Wild Chess" part I like best. People are merciless in criticism when it is desereved and generous when that is called for. I can and do learn a lot from my chess contemporaries, more than from a text sometimes and certainly more immediately.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my puzzle posts!
