Standing directly between the feet of my obstacle staring
upward at a mangled patch of hair reeking
of the dried soak of itself and others attempting
the toppling of a skyscraper wasting
patches of earth composite nutritious
create sustenances for our species delicious
as they go crunch into the maws of a bigger, badder, building
lunch for the creeping crawling filling
