Schiffers vs Steinitz (Hastings) - Classical Ending 10 of 150

Queenside structural weaknesses cause Schiffers to miss an opportunity of a lifetime. Steinitz crushes Schiffers with superior play. Steinitz's endgame play is phenomenal coated with exceptional technique. My favorite move 19...Bxg3 (Bishop Sac)

Theoretically after move 12 White has a better game and with two grandmasters (everything else being equal) White should win. However, white pushed his pawns too hard and allowed severe Queenside weakness to ruin an advantageous position. At the GM level, these are considered missed opportunities almost equivalent to a blunder.
