Crux Tactics III

Hello!

 

I would like to continue my tactics series with a recently finished game I played in a tournament. In the game, an Arkhangelsk Variation of the Ruy Lopez (C78), I gained an advantage early on, and won a Rook and Pawn as a result. The position looked fairly stable, until I began relating some of the positions of the pieces. The idea was formed a while before the deciding move was actually made, but I was lucky that my opponent missed it. Anyways, here it is:

Brilliant move, a combination of a decoy and a skewer. Don't think I would have seen it.

The chess.com computer is weak compared to my own, so why use that to analyse? Just because I phrase it the same way chess.com does doesn't mean I just use their analysis..besides, it wouldn't see that far into the variation.

Play might have continued.. quit ripping off the chess.com computer analysis.
