Those "Forking" Knights

Submitted by CyberSensei on Wed, 08/20/2008 at 8:30am.

AGAIN!!! And not just once; but twice!!

I've lost my queen to "forking" knights. I'm in dire need of a hiatus to retreat into the basement and studying Knights until I can see clearly. Ironically, I can see 4-5 moves ahead with any other piece; but Knights have me blinded. It must be the armour.

Sorry for the departure from my normal philosophical posts, but it was time for some venting and an intervention. If anyone has any suggestions for tutorials, study plans, books, or exorcisms for knights, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

this is how i started to see knights. i made them my main weapons. i brought them out early, didnt rest them, i attacked. i retreated, i became a nuisance with them. i lost them too of course, but it started to let me see the patterns. i know you'll be in the dungeon with 10,000,000,000,000 books & master them in time, but we each have our styles. ps i'll be picking up the nick d book on openings you recd this weekend. thanks again.
