Bumper Stickers

Submitted by DPenn on Wed, 08/05/2009 at 2:34pm.

I saw a bumper sticker on a big F500 (or something) Ford Truck today that said, "Annoy a liberal, buy a gun."  It made me start thinking of some kind of response I could give seeing as how I happen to be liberal and it just annoyed me.  So I came up with this one:

"Annoy a redneck, shoot him with superfluous vocabulary."

Anyone else have any ideas...?

Born and raised in Northern Michigan, educated, in the same, i have labeled myself as self taught, self employed, and confused, by all the different lables connected with our political  system. I  believe it to  be the best available   for all free thinking, freedom loveing  people. Those who believe that restricting the ownership of guns, weapons, ( of any kind ) to  law abideing individuals will make our streets safer, more tranquil, have got a very dangerous awakening comming, when and if this insanity ever comes about.

Our society can not stop the drugs, that are devoureing a large number of our youth and citizens, our society refuses to bann cigaretts even after they are   proven to kill and maime many. ( our politicians  refuse to take the step to protect us and our young, saying  to many jobs will be lost!!!!) However, if guns are removed from the the hands of law abieding citizens ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE GUNS.

So wether liberal, conservitive, right wing, left wing, democrat, rebublican, know that to restrict law abideig citizens from free choice, will leave the criminals in charge of your freedom, to live, laugh and prosper.

ps.       the bumper sticker performed as designed        IT MADE US THINK :)

I have a few points that I think should be addressed (somewhat in order):

  1. I guess it would be necessary to clearly define what belief system is involved/adhered to when one says they are a "Liberal".  This should be equally applied to those of the "Conservative" persuasion.
  2. I think it should be clarified as to whether or not the owner of the truck was, in fact, actually a "redneck".  Again, we should probably apply the method mentioned in #1 above.
  3. For any of you who are from the South, and actually know a "redneck", then you probably know there is very little that annoys them.  Only if you are unpatriotic (=Liberal), drink imported beer, are against hunting and/or the use of guns or dogs in doing so.  Maybe, dislike of their college football team might get a stir.

Actually, I find the post rather funny.  It appears, from your own words, that the bumper sticker did indeed have the desired affect, albeit indirectly, perhaps.

If you have more curtains in your truck than you do in your house, you just might be red neck.

We can openly carry handguns in Colorado Springs.  After that law was passed the crime rate in the city went down (not up).  You can carry a shotgun or rifle in your Ford F150 when you go hunting.  There are born again Christians on every block.  If you want to know how to cook deer or rattlesnake just ask me.

If liberals ran America we would all be on our knees begging the home invaders not to kill us, rape our daughters, or make us drink drain opener.  The German people had a choice between liberals and Hitler.  They thought Hitler would be a better choice.

One Japanese Admiral during World War II told the other militarists "We dare not invade the United States.  There, every family have guns in their houses."

The reason liberals don't own shotguns is because they can't tell beans from buckshot.

Living in the rural south, I can very much appreciate your take on the bumper sticker.  Well done.  Very funny.

How about:

"Annoy a redneck, educate his children." or

"Annoy a conservative, give them their unemployment check."
