  "Making our life easier"

I would prefer if we stood away from playing into the complex line about to happen in this game, and we can do that by just studying lines involving 5.c3/5.Ng5, anyways here is the game so you know what kind of complex lines I would prefer to stay away from, white goes on winning after much compications, but nowdays many players would be more than happy to enter this complication with black pieces, throughout the years is been shown that black is ok in this following line

main Lines for black here are 4...Nf6 two knights defense or 4...Bc5 the Giouco, there are other moves 4th that can be tried by black here as well 4...Bb4+, 4...d6, 4...h6, 4...Be7, I have even seen 4...Bd6 here sometimes. we can discuss all of this moves and lines likely to happen, would be a good idea to start with the 4...Bb4+, Bc5 lines which are the ones i find more often even though 4..Nf6 is main line no many club players dare to play into it

Note: to make our studies on the Scotch gambit more fun, I would recommend for you to buy Roman's Lab: Mastering Openings Series Volume 22 "the easy way to play the Scotch & Giuoco Piano Openings" it would make it much more fun
