American Chess Quarterly Vol. 1, No. 1

First published in the Fall of 1961, this magazine was published by Larry Evans and contained the famous article "A Bust to the King's Gambit" by Bobby Fischer.  I recently acquired this copy and thought it would be interesting to share.  I first posted these pictures as a photo album but the image quality was less than ideal, so I'm hoping this works a little better.

It's hard to say what a collection like that would be worth.  I think a lot of the value would be in simply finding the right buyer (auctions, collectors, etc.).  It also might be worth more to try and split the set up and sell the volumes individually.  Just as an example, I bought the above copy on ebay because of Fischer's famous article, but there has been a copy of Vol.1, No. 2 listed at $50 dollars that's been listed for over a year and no one has bought it.

Please bear in mind that I'm hardly an expert or serious collector so what I'm saying may not be entirely accurate and I would definitely recommend consulting someone more knowledgeable if you are looking for more specific information.

    Hope this helps a little,

    Dan
