email@chess.com

Although the idea of registering an email address at chess.com was attractive I didn't realise how useful it could be until I'd actually done it. After all, I've had my existing email address for about six years and everybody who needs to contact me knows it, so why would I change? (Unfortunately it's also known to a lot of people I'd rather didn't contact me at all—since I have no need to buy cheap Viagra or to increase the size of any miscellaneous appendages—but my ISP's spam filter takes care of most of those.)

Once I registered dozy@chess.com I realised I could use it for all my chess alerts and reminders and voila! I no longer get oodles of them cluttering up my regular email..

Although some people have complained about the chess.com reminders, I welcome them. If I didn't visit the site every day they'd stop me from either timing out (or, since I'm a premium member, using up my vacation time). Particularly useful are the messages advising that somebody has posted in a thread I'm tracking. Ergo, I never considered the option of killing reminder messages in my Settings box.

So, for me, email@chess.com is a very useful function.

many times I've been about to win a game and the "connection is interrupted" and it's usually my move when it happens, then the time keeps running and I lose because of it ....

can your opponent do that purposely? If not for that my rating would be a whole lot higher right now ..It aint fair, can anybody help me with this?

That'd be difficult.  I only use it for chess.com emails (finished games and other odds n ends) and retain my normal email address for everything else.

Of course, since I'm retired, I come in here every day and spend quite a bit of time --  but if you're in a position where you can't do that then there are definite limitations on its usefulness.
