The fire has gone out

This will be my last blog post for the forseeable future.
When batgirl quit the chess.com blogs three weeks ago her last post spelt out clearly why she was going.
The selfishness of those very few people who hog the top blogger spot on the chess.com home page -- occasionally to the point where they monopolise all five spots -- makes it very difficult to get any exposure there.
I know that sounds selfish on my part but since batgirl has already outlined the problems (see the link in my second paragraph) I won't bother to repeat them here.
If chess.com sort out the problem I'll be back. Until then I'll confine my chess.com writing to the Black Shield Assassins newsletter and, perhaps occasionally, the forums.
On the other hand, since I enjoy blogging, I may register my own blog elsewhere and keep blazing away.
To all those people who've read my blog and to those who have taken the trouble to comment I'd say "Thank you." I've appreciated the support very much.
