I'm playing against someone in a tournament game and I think at move 3, he asked me to please move faster. This kinda ticked me off.
1. We've only been playing for about <10 mins so why the heck would he tell me to move faster at move 3?!
2. My average time per move is less than that player.
3. It's a tournament game, so whether I play fast or take my time shouldn't matter since he agreed to the time control when he joined the tournament.
I may be overreacting here but I hate being asked to do something when I feel that there's no need for it. It's kinda like asking me to resign if you have an advantage. Oh and if you're really winning, I WILL resign... just be patient and wait a few more moves. Now I think I'm decent enough player to make that decision myself. I've never asked people to resign even with an overwhelming advantage. If you wanna play on, I'll indulge you. Asking me to do something will just make me want to do the opposite of what you're asking. Oh yeah, trying to win a drawn position is just ridiculous!
