Have you ever wondered why the queen is more powerful than the king? I have. It just doesn't seem right. Let me know what you think about this.~

I could tell you loads, on the other pieces even the Bishop was restricted and other stuff, you would be surprised at the old way. I've got a history book on chess. :P
thanks rich
I was laughing at firestare500, my opinion is that basically that's how the games played in our days ! heres something you will like ! Over the years the Queen has switched gender ! Originally (s)he played her part on the board as a Farzin, a wise man who counselled the king. His powers were restriced to moving only one sqaure in a diagonal direction. When chess came too Europe this chess piece was known as a "fers" ' a corruption of the perian "farzin". In medieval European culture it was accepted that the person next to a king should be a queen. Two sets of chessmen have survied from that time, the Lewis chessmen in the British Museum and a group of figural chessmen kept at the Bibliothque Nationale in Paris; both show queens seated on a throne.
Yeah.... Thanks for your opinion.... ?
Lol.
...
lol its a game. Its because theking is a fat, lazy lump of flesh. The queen is the one that does all the work(just like in real life:-P)
