The following is a modest collection of my highlighted chess games and positions that I have encountered today. I am posting them here mainly for my own reference and analysis but to also share my chess advancements with others.
Game number one:
In this party I approached my current least favorite opening, the French Defence, with a simple idea of trading down pieces as fast as possible. As an 1.e4 player I personally hope that my opponent plays a Scotch Game, a Sicilian, or the Philidor Defence, so the French systems are a bit odd for me. Unfortunately and ironically with the mass varieties of openings that grow from 1.e4, defences like the Caro-Kann and French Defence come along the road often despite of my likings. This game was drawn because of repetition.
Game number two:
This was a self-explanatory game that began with a Sicilian Kalashnikov/Löwenthal. We reached an indiscreet endgame which simply arose because Black wasn't paying any attention to his pawn structure and moving his king with no plan.
