I had the pleasure to play a very strong player (Bill Wall) on Chess Live (Beta) tonight. Bill pretty much hammered me in a game yesterday where he played the O'Kelly variation which i transposed into a kind of Kings Indian Attack (for tempo reasons). The game tonight is a pretty interesting sicilian defense in the sozin attack involving sacrifice.
At first fritz 11 doesnt like the idea of the sac but a few moves later (after best moves) he changes his mind! I think its a really interesting game which could have been really great if we were playing long time control. Towards the end i played a dubious 23.Qxf6?! but the simple 23.Rf1 would have created winning chances for me. Fritz actually evaluated the position after 23.Rf1 +/- as opposed to after 23.Qxf6?! as =/+ I tink give the time i had left though i can forgive myself. .......Now if only i could play like this all the time!!! hehe
The time control was 5 minute and no increment. Heres the game and hope you enjoy. Comments welcomed.
