What's wrong with this picture?

White is mated, but something fishy is going on. First to say what gets a cookie.

Seems plausible to me. If black is moving up the board, the mating move could have been the promotion of the rook pawn to a bishop. (I suspect black would do that just to show off.)

I think you,ve solved it DoctorWho. It is impossible for the bishop to get to that square without already having the king mated. Well done I thinkLaughing

The black bishop could not have possibly mated white's king from a8.  It would make more sense if it was on b7.

Impossible position.  what was black's last legal move?   what was white's last "legal" move?
