Against Larsen's Opening 1.b3, I have defended successfully by 1...b6 and 4...f5 with a Dutch Defense formation, as in this game.

Exactly, white should have used black's strategy and get in an early f4

I think White would have done better if he had played the more normal 3.e3 and then followed up with f4 and then Nf3.

Larsen's opening is definitely playable, and in fact the set-up black employed is often used by White. A transposition to larsen's opening with 1.Nf32.b3 is playable as well. I must admit it probably gives less advantage than e4 or d4, but it is impossible to decide definitively.
Excellent play in the game though, I don't think I see ANY mistakes!

Jim :
Nice job of neutralizing White's Bishop pair. Also nice setup by your pawns on the dark squares shutting down White's dark square bishop in the opening.
Your hybrid Dutch defense is another nail in the coffin for Larsen's opening.

Great game, what a battle. Terrific knight job!!!
