My Intro Invites

You may be wondering what they are for.  They are special limited invite tournys in which I let only the newest members in, plus at least one other group member which in the future will usually be me.  They have 2 purposes.  One is to let them play in a small tourny while they get used to the group.  The other is part of my screeing process.  I use the older member as a control sample to judge the tourny's progress and to also have someone in there to greet the newbies.  So they are test tournys to screen new members.  It is easier on me than my old process of playing every newbie first myself but I would like to play all members at least once so I will probably be the control for most of the others tournys.  And it should speed up our recruiting of new members.

Just wanted to let you know.  And be warned newbies!  You are on probationLaughing  No one will get banned from the group if they turn out to be a slow player but they may not get any future invites to any of my tournaments.  Except for a possible second chance in another Intro Invite.  Please read the Tourny Guidelines for info on what I consider slow play.  I plan for this group to have the fastest possible running online tournys at chess.com.
