King's Gambit

Submitted by KillaBeez on Thu, 01/31/2008 at 12:03pm.

I have always been told that the King's Gambit was unsound and a terrible opening to play.  Recently, I have been intrigued by it.  I have used it online and scored amazing and quick victories with it.  The King's gambit Declined gives me too much space and the Falkbeer Counter Gambit is good for White.  Here are some of my favorite variations of the King's Gambit Accepted.

Great weapon to have in your repitoire. I plan to start playing the Kings Gambit again. Currently i have been playing the scotch gambit but i need something with a bit more bite. Its great fun when black plays 2...d5 thinking white wont know what hes doing only to get a big ol slap to the face! hehe

I like to play the King's Gambit, but I find it very unsettling, and it makes me feel at risk. There is too much chance of error.

The last one doesn't look good for black. It just looks stupid.
