What is Real?

Is a piece of art real because you can see it? No, do not put your hands on it!!! Is music real because you can hear it? What if your friend tells you to close your eyes and try to figure out what object has been placed before you. What will you do then? Will you use your sense of touch, of smell?

If a picture is worth a thousand words, than is the picture any more real than the words describing it? What if I tell you it is worth more. Let’s not exaggerate but, a 'thousand' words, taken literally would imply... not a word more. But I tell you, IT IS WORTH MORE!!!

Words are real! But, sometimes, the real value is discovered further, and mysteriously, with time.

What if you do not have the picture in front of you any more? Will you remember to tell your friends about it? What words will you speak to bring it back to life!!! What did you like about it in the first place?

Seriously, did you take the time necessary to understand what your friend was talking about? Words are real! It is with words that we begin understanding. It is with words that we can communicate better. Even when an artist is displaying a picture, words also are brought in harmony 'to convey a meaning'.

Words can make you see. Words can make you hear, smell, touch, taste and even feel. Do not tell me this is not concrete. In fact, words can even make you believe. But, first, you must take the NECESSARY TIME TO UNDERSTAND!!!

Do you know what else is real? Philosophy, the 'love of wisdom', is real. Philosophy is about understanding...
