No more a hobby

Chess used to be a hobby when I first learned the moves. It was like just any other game like ludo or scrabble. Once I learnt openings and saw the innumberable amount of variations and combinations it has become an all-consuming obsession Thanks to my friend who taught me the notations.
I'll be your best friend but if you are sitting on the other side of the board you are my worst enemy. I may sound rude but thats how I see chess there is no room for friendship here Its a game of bloodshed! you can't show mercy if you do you are gone.
Many people asked me "why are you so aggressive? its after all a game" I say 'no its not. its a war my friend' you win or you lose and I don't like playing for a draw. If you feel the same way you are well on your way to improving your chess strength Be aggressive!
