An Incredible Game

This game was taken from the 4th Ames Futurity, Group B (November 16-18 2007). It was by far the best game I played on the way to finishing co-champion of the section at 5.0/7.0. Not bad for being the 6 seed in a 8 player round robin. Laughing. Enjoy the game!

The moral of the story is that you don't have to make a mistake to lose a game sometimes. The play of both sides is very good. Feel free to comment on the game or anything.

I think that f4 is ok, but my problem with it is that f4 limits the scope of the dark squared bishop. I think I still just play 14. Nf8 and then I also have an extra move to play Bb7. The main problem with the black position is the lack of time to play Bb7 and connect the rooks. All that black has to do is just ensure that f5 will not be too dangerous and black should at worst be equal. Black can even play ...g6 if things get bad, and the white dark squared bishop will be locked out.

A champion's game!!! Do you think 13. f4 (to slip the knight in behind it) would have helped?
