Yes, I do use the Rybka chess program to support my annotations.
I like your commentary. This is the second game with your comments that I've followed. Very helpful. Do you use any aids to help you assess your moves after play or is it from solely from your personal post-game observation?
4...a6? seems to be a blunder since the pawn is now supported by the bishop. After bxa6, you cannot recapture with the rook and you must capture with a pawn away from the center??
I stumbled across your game accidentaly. You played very well with a material odd all the game (your light square bishop). I would have definitely played 25. ... e5 to try to activate the dead bishop on c8. I also don't like 14. ...dxc4. It looks that you give White the opportunity to get rid of his dead knight on the a file: 15. Nxc4. I would have played 14. ... Bd7 and maintained the tension. You never get to play the freeing move e5. It was OK 28. ...e5, the c5 pawn does not need to be guarded now as the white bishop on d3 is on prey.
Yes AlmightyKnight, I fully agree. This was a very instructive point of the game, to make sure we always develop all of our pieces! Even after 40 moves my light squared Bishop was on its original square which will surely not lead to success.
If 36...Qf5 37. Ng3! is very strong.
You're a much stronger player then I am, but I think it was a big mistake that you didn't develop your light squared bishop at all.
It was irrelevant the entire game. Which hurt more because you sacrificed a knight.
why attack the advance pawn ? thats a dead meat already(4...a6)
36. why not qf5
