Old school vs new school

Hi guys, this is one interested game which I played against one friend of mine, who is 65years old, so he is kind of old school:). Game was interesting and very short. I played against him 4 games, and won all 4, we also played lot of times before this encounter and I have a much better win ratio. Thing which I remember is that he like to play many pawn moves, and that he doesnt really have "danger alert". I hope that you will enjoy in this miniature:).

    Seriously?

As far as "respecting" your elders go, that all is a bunch of bs on the internet. For all I know you could be a 5 year old. Therefore it is much more in fitting to use a standard of content. And if you are going to insult a person's play and miss a simple mate in 2 (AND BY GOD IT WAS SIMPLE THERE WAS NO SURPRISE THAT QH4+ WAS COMING) then I really don't give a damn if I come off rude to you. Just because you're older doesn't mean you can just say whatever you want to people.

And concerning never being proud of winning against lower rated opposition, again that is just utter nonsense. Is Carlsen never supposed to be proud of a win since everybody is rated lower than him? No. You should be proud of a win if you feel like you played well and correctly executed a plan to exploit your opponents weaknesses, regardless of their rating.

It seems that ORLY ( eagles in Russian) are very young and does not have manners and are insulting old people for nothing!  Firstly, it seems that won a party with older and definitely  weaker opponent is not an achievment to be proud of!. By the way, it can be seen that this is not ONLY my opinion)  Secondly, I might be wrong (as I said before!), but  I did not see mate in 2 after 13. Be3! If I were wrong, please show me my error, but in any case NOBODY HAS RIGHTS to make so rude advaces to a person of my age. If Mr Matt ( BONDIGGITY) did not prove that THERE IS MATE IN 2 after 13.Be3, I would ask the admins of the tourmaments where he is playing (as a rule, with opponents with lower rating) to make him notice for unproper actions!

I bag pardon to  ALL  players for my poor English, it is not my mother tongue.

I find this article interesting: his author is proud to have achieved his attack against weakened castling; and he gives an opportunity to the weak player to avoid this type of errors and not to play too much his pawns!

Ok guys, I think you didnt unerstand point of this blog.

When I want to publish something where I think there is something you can learn about then I write an article, I publish blogs just for fun. I am not proud on that victory, I was asked by my friends here who are not so good at chess to publish some blogs with some ordinary games where I play against weaker opponents so that they can see what mistakes they should avoid. I think that this game is quite good to be looked at for guys who are about 1400-1500 (on this site, not fide) because I won bunch of games like this. I am sure that on blittz matches you have similiar experiences.

If I wanted to publish game which is more educational I would wrote an article like I usually wrote. Tnx for comments anyway, I just thought that this need to be clarify.

As far as the game goes, 9...a6 looks better, as he should have captured with the b-knight. I liked the idea of ...Ne4 which very well exploited his kingisde pawn pushes. Well played.

    Glad you liked the game.

What makes you think it is old school? He did not play one or two pawn moves, Knights before Bishops, and castle.
