I finally found a use for a spreadsheet

What was your first chess book?

For me it was Bobby Fischer teaches chess, actually ghost written by Leslie Ault.  Close to no prose, just problems presented in a "programmed instruction" method.  I could feel myself grow stronger from one problem to the next. Read more »

For that matter, I feel pretty ill equipped to tell the difference between a note and a message.  Hmm, both are strings with labels that would sound pretty similar in a dictionary, and would confuse a thesaurus for sure.  Oh well. Read more »
