My first Live Chess 2.0 Game

My first Live Chess 2.0 Game

So today I played my first game after the official release of Live Chess 2.0. The new interface lacks some familiar features, delivers a few new ones and works in a stable manner. All in all it is good enough for me, especially considering version 3.0 is in the works.

In all honesty my first game was against one of the new computer opponents, but that game wasn't particulary nice (though I did win). So this was my first game against a human being on Live chess 2.0 :).

I wasn't rybka-accurate everywhere in the game, but in general it was definitely acceptable. The attack that won me the game was solid, but could have been stronger. Oh, and I missed a mate in 1 (but that also happened to Kramnik once, albeit in a very different position). Still,  I think the game was pretty entertaining. Enjoy!

I've also just finished my first game on LC2 and I'll be back there a lot in future.  It's the one feature that I've missed on this site.

Unlike Prooz I didn't find your 3D pieces annoying -- they look frather attractive -- but I did find them confusing.  I'd never play a game with them.  I make enough errors without encouraging my dozy brain to go into a tailspin. Smile

Very nice attack, and great tactic after Bxc3 - Nxe4. Unfortunate you missed the mate in one, but you were winning nonetheless. Kramnik actually missed one that mated him, so that was a worse blunder anyway.

Keep 'em coming!

Oh, and please stop using the 3d pieces. They're annoying.
