The riches of Chess Poem

Submitted by RC_Woods on Mon, 06/09/2008 at 8:53am.

In playing through this game,
who has ever seen-
all that can be done:

Some moves look mundane,
though made so keen-
then brilliance lies in some!

Others to fame aspire,
mean and cunning moves,
yet blunders they can be.

And Grand masters to admire,
what their play thus proves
let it show to thee:

The vault that is chess
has treasure beyond belief
in rich supply,

and rightfully assess,
to thine relief,
'tis unlikely to run dry!
