Chess tactics for study

Lessons 1-10 are now posted.  updated on 5 May.

Click on 'Resources'     'Downloads' ,  and go to   Lessons and Training.

Tactics are the heart and soul of chess, if you want to win your games.

Some 'guiding ideas' to start beginners off on their chess learning are included for each of these, to help get you started, and for improving 'board vision' for those who find the clock a bit troubling in tactics trainer here.

Also, if you are going on a trip, these are great for kids to develop their chess 'board vision' incredibly fast (without using a set and board).   When they return to playing with a board, their skills will have significantly increased.

I'll be posting more tactics in the future, many without any 'tips' or guiding ideas, just the positions to analyze.  By the time your kids work all the ones with ideas, they should be able to dig out the right concepts quickly.    (tactics trainer, with the clock running, should be a lot more enjoyable then.)

Regards,

Ret
