Picture this: Your Photos at Chess.com

One nice feature of Chess.com that doesn't get much promotion is the photo section which allows all members to upload their favourite snaps of themselves, their family, their pets, their favourite celebrities etc.

Creating an album and adding photos is easy, and it's great to be able to share your photos at the site for all your friends to see.

I usually hide behind my 'simpsonized' character (pictured), but my scary visage can be seen on some of my own photos - including one from my latest album.

Do you have any favourite albums or photos of your own, other members' that you really like?

I love to play disc golf (or frisbee golf) -- it is a relatively new sport and not many people know what exactly it is.  If anyone is interested, I have a photo album with some of my discs; my profile picture is also a "driver" used for disc golf, which has the same objective as "ball golf" Smile except the target is a metal pole/basket with chains hanging from it -- the discs hits the chains and falls in the basket if all goes to plan!

Discs come in many different shapes, and just as different clubs are used in golf for certain shots, discs have characteristics which make them useful for different shots in disc golf.

If this sparks your interest, join my 'Disc Golfers' group here on chess.com - anyone is welcome.  It is a surprisingly fun sport, and free to play in many local parks throughout the U.S.A. (as well as many other countries).  Courses are set up just like real golf with 18 holes along with pars for each hole.

p.s.  SonofPearl, I envy your simpsonized character -- where did you get it?!  Very cool... and a belated thanks for all your great coverage of chess tournaments.

I've uploaded short albums for 4 of my chess boards, as well as an AMAZING 'chess board & piees' cake that my girlfriend made for my birthday this year. =D

It's so easy to forget the photo albums.  I put up a few when I first joined the site a couple of years ago but I'd even forgotten them myself.  Thanks for the reminder.

Twas interesting to note the Welsh name in one of your pics.  My father was born in Cardiff and the language has always seemed a little fascinating to me.
