Chessmaster 10th Edition and getting hooked again

Well having recently got back into chess i really have rediscovered my passion for the game, and have managed to drag a few of my friends into what i heard Waitzkin refer to as the black and white jungle!

One of the things that has helped me keep my enthusiasm through many early defeats is the discovery of chessmaster 10th edition. Its a brilliant tool for the starting player with lots of drills, theory and annotated games to get to grips with.I would be interested to hear how more advanced players found the program, but certainly for starting out at under ten quid was a fantastic bargain.

Also have done a bit of research into josh waitzkin after hearing him off chessmaster, it seems on the one hand a real shame that he left the game so early, but on the other hand he seems to have gone from strength to strength in other fields so i guess he made the best decision for himself.from the games ive seen he seemed a great player though.

I was once very fond of its lessons and tutorials, and it's probably the best virtual sparring partner you can buy because of its wide range of personalities.

I had a couple of Kasporov chess computers, I used to love them when I was younger and I am sure I was a better player back then than what I am now.  I am a fool to myself on most occasions and I know you know what that feels like Tris!

I've never heard of this Josh Waitzkin, I'll look him up.
