As usual, I was thinking about chess the other night. My thought's usually drift toward new tactict's and gambit's to pull on my opponet's. I love this game, and really wish they would come true someday. However, the realist that I am knows full well that chess is a stern mistress, very unforgiving, and that only absolutes will prevail in this game.
A laser like focus, a burning desire, and years of study time will get you the results you want to accomplish. I know that. So I cut to the chase and invision myself allready playing that way. Daydreaming if you will.. So, here I am playing a game with talking chess pieces. lol. The imbeded bose speakers in the sides of the chess board to be more presice.
The chess pieces themselves have chips built inside, and under each chess square on the board is a chip as well. Every time you made a move the board would know it. In this waking dream of mine, I moved my white knight to d5. A medieval voice then said, 'Your majesty, our enemy is surrounded.'
You could program the board to 'talk' only during the middle game, or the end game if you wish. Or to remain silent of course.. A medieval voice character would be only one option. lol. I actually thought of using my girlfriends voice for that of my queen. Needless to say, the possibilities go on, and on, and on.
Thank's for letting me share. It got me through the nite anyway, and it was fun thinking about it. I hope to see something like this on the market someday. You never know.
