What the blindfold training covers is...

We will be starting a blindfold series soon, so you can learn how it is done, as well as how it is taught or passed on. You should be able to play 12 boards at the same time...blindfolded. That is our club standard at a childrens level U10 yrs old. Adults should be able to do 24 games or boards at the same time ! Maybe your club has slackers or just can't do very many boards blindfolded...or any boards. We will cover how to learn genuine authentic blindfold chess and the "drills" you need to learn to master. You will be so happy when you can finally do it. Right now you may be ticked off or sad if you can't do 24 boards, or even 1 board. It is okay, we will get there. I will start with a solid foundation and build on that, so the whole thing doesn't collapse later like house of cards, or like paper mache house built on sand at ocean beach before tide comes in. You can build it from wood, but even when the wood looks and feels strong and seems unbreakable, the ocean will topple or carry the house out to sea, since it has no foundation and boards were just hastily put together in a "rush-job". If you dig down deep or get a stone or steel or concrete foundation, you could in theory build a bridge, as evidence by world famous bridges built over water, sometimes for hundreds of yards or metres (meters) or even miles and miles like in florida or overseas. Florida has a bridge that goes over water for like 15 or more miles.

No, it will not be something to wow and impress from day one, but like school, lays a foundation to add to little by little. You will know how to work at it and be rewarded with being able to calculate more moves ahead as well as calculate to the same final position way faster and easier than the player you face. It is like typing/keyboarding...First learn to do it correctly and little shortcuts to improve performance...then drill speed aka "speed drills". I will show you GM secrets so stay tuned. Until then...best of luck to you.

Best wishes, TeamRybka
