Worrell Attack

Submitted by Tical on Sat, 02/02/2008 at 7:30am.

How familiar are you with the Worrell attack and have you found it to be efficient? Take a look and tell me what you think and if you have seen it in any tournaments.

Not real common, but playable.  Alekhine has played it.  It transposes to certain "standard" lines after c3, re1 etc.

Oh yeah I've seen it in tournaments. GM games in fact.

White wants to play Rd1, c3, d4... barelling down the queen file.

What do you mean by efficient?
