Authenticity

Why this subject? For some strange reason, authenticity has become an important concept for me in terms of playing chess with all of the wonderful people with whom I've crossed paths via interest in this game. Yes, I've had to block users from contacting me due to just getting that odd, overly clingy feelingĀ  . . . But I think that what most of us are doing here is searching for an authentic chess experience. . . and that happens inevitably through building positive relationships. A word for all of us: there is a human being on the other end of the game... be kind but also be honest. And sometimes actions speak louder than words.

On another note, I really like this site -- I've recently explored other chess sites and this is one is the one that I tend to like the best. . . . It's not glitzy really -- just kind of casual and easy to use. It's like a radio station, I have it on at work and I consult my current games as I go about my day. . . .what's worse is that I'm now wanting an iphone just so that I can play chess everywhere with great people like yourselves!

I second this post. Chess.com seems to be a warm and homey site. It's only danger is in being quite addicting. Most everyone I've met on here has been gracious and interesting, and at times I felt like I was sitting across from them at a table.
