First visit to a Chess Club

Well, I went to my first chess club on Tuesday (I sound like a 10 year old - I'm actually 22 lol) had a game against my friend, which I technically won on time (he's quite good, a NZ Junior Champion) in 5minute game, and then proceeded to whoop my $%# in the next two.
It's quite nice, they seem like they are all dedicated to the game, which is great. The coach told us new guys that instead of joining up straight away (we can't anyway, they're in the middle of a tournament), we should enter in the Summer novice tournament coming up next year 2-3 months away. If we still like it by the end of it(in other words, if we can handle the mental torture lol) we should by then have a better idea (of what we're getting ourselves into haha).
Well, time to practice...hopefully I'll do well (enough) at tournament.
