Yelena
how did armenia do?
We drew the last match and ended on 17th place... Unfortunately our second board made 1 out of 5:-( And I did -2. While 4th board Fakhiridou got a bronze medal for her performance.
The event has officially finished:-) and you can see lots of interesting games and videos/photos in the menu of the official website of the tournament!
All the best!
Are most draws ?
We won vs Azerbajdzhan, then vs Bulgaria and today we lost to Georgia (I lost to GM Chiburdanidze who was a world champ about 25 years ago:-))
So Greece 1 had a bye in the first round and in second we lost 1.5-2.5 to Holland. I lost to Peng and Papadopoulou lost to Schuurman. Today we play Azerbajdzhan. It is also a tough match and we are looking forward to it!
There is a nice ChessBase report on the event and of course you can download the games from the official website of the tournament!
How did your game with Peng Zhaoqin go?
Greece is a beautiful country, and you are a beautiful girl.
All the best to you in your new tournament, and in your new home.

See you on ICC,
Hi Yelena,
Thanks for the advanced notice. This looks like it will be a very strong tournament and on board 1 you should have some good games and competition. I'm looking forward to some exciting games.

Wish you and your team great success, especially against the high rated Russians and Ukranians!!
Thanks for the link, Yelena. Good luck to the Welsh team! They will face a lot of excellent opponents, so they will need to be at their best.
