Submitted by Zenchess on Thu Jul 17, 2008 8:00pm.

Yes, it's true.  I had magnus down on the ropes, begging for mercy.  But I blundered, I got forked, a nasty, dirty fork that will live on in my mind forever.  Now he's going to become world champion, and I'll probably ne... Read more »

Submitted by Zenchess on Fri May 30, 2008 3:38pm.

I'd like to make a quick post detailing what I did to achieve my current skill level, which in all honesty is nothing much to brag about, but I am looking forward to further improvements as soon as I can put more effort into chess (when... Read more »

Another successful tournament victory!

Submitted by Zenchess on Sat Apr 12, 2008 10:32pm.

Wow is all I have to say.  I won another local tournament 4-0 to win a $123 prize (it was split for a first place tie and we both got $123).  I played 3 lower-rated players, the highest being a 1600.  However, they were pretty good.... Read more »

Submitted by Zenchess on Thu Apr 10, 2008 12:21pm.

In the excellent book "the art of learning" by Joshua Waitzkin Joshua explains how he used ideas that he originally learned in chess and applied them to the art of Tai Chi push hand competitions.  I have also done this in the vario... Read more »
