Long time no see.

I won this game a while back. I was happy that I saw the mating attack at the end.

I've been reading Silman's book, "The Ameture's Mind." It's pretty interesting stuff. Though, to me...Silman comes off as a bit arrogant through his writing. The material is good though. At the end of the book it has tests. I'm interested to see how I do once I get that far.

Thanks, maybe after I'm done with this one I'll check yours out. How do you like it? I think he has some very good advice in the book I'm reading. Basically he talks about imbalances (good or bad) and how to try to use them to your advantages. Also, how the amateur sometimes makes irrational descisions based on threats, and begins reactive play instead of aggressive play. Good stuff.

I've got that one.  Have not started it yet though as I'm still working on Silman's "Complete Book of Chess Strategy."  In this volume (so far) he comes off more humorous than arrogant.

Nice finish to the game.
