If any of you are thinking about playing in ICCF, CCCA, CCLA Anglo Pacific,BPCF Postal Chess Tournaments by Snail mail you must know how to record your reflection time properly always insist that your opponent write his or hers down correctly on any letters or cards to help your Secretary solve time and other disputes some People don't do it because their lazy but you must insist!

First write down the day you got your opponents card in the mail:

Your Move Received: April 24/2008

Then you write down the day you replied to his Letter

My Move Sent: April 25/2008

Next you write the number of days you took to think over your next move:

My Reflection Time: 1 Day

Next you write down the total number of days of reflection you took and your opponents total number of days of reflection

You'll have to learn to use numerical chess notation if you play in International Tournaments you can learn about numerical notation here:

http://www.markalowery.net/Chess/Notation/numeric.html

Postal Chess events can take years to 3 or 7 years to finish moves its alot slower than Internet Chess.
