Good reasons for Exchanging:
A) Exchange so you don't lose time or space on the board by retreating
B) Remember get your moneys worth when you exchange value for value.
C) Exchange to maintain control over a key file,square,diagnol
D) When your position is cramped exchange to relieve pressure on your position
E) When your opponent is hurting exchange his or her defenders to prevent your opponent from regrouping
