An Interesting Position That Time Got The Better Of

Submitted by alexholowczak on Sat, 09/13/2008 at 12:49pm.

This game was played as part of the 4th Chess.com Tournament, in the 1600-1800 section. I was playing black, and my 24th move was a risky one, Rxg2. Sadly, my opponent then lost on time, so I will never know how the game would have ended.

The game is attached here, and I would like to know whether my move 24...Rxg2 was accurate, or if White would gain an advantage from it. Any help from other areas of the game would also be appreciated.

yes, it looks good - Nxg2 is impossible and 26.Kh1 Qe4 27.Qf3 Qxf3 28.Nxf3 Rxc2 looks like an easy win.

Maybe cruz's line is even better as it leaves the white knight on the rim.
