Hastings 1895 brought with it the surprise victory of the great Pillsbury. This is one of his games, in which he demonstrates his forceful and powerful play. A dashing kingside attack is what insues.
cool.
Yo ! its gonna be funs to move ....
Well its good to get aquainted with this game again now that I can make sense of Pilsbury's moves. Its quite uncompromising and entertaining - the type you don't see much of nowadays.
holy moly guacamole!
Similar to what I've been trying lately. Not always with success.
A day at the office with two giants.
One of the best games I've ever seen.
Nice game. Just goes to show, I expected 31. Nf4 - Nc1 threw me completely. It's the sort of move I'd never even consider. It appears that 30. R4f2 was a ploy to gain time so white could defend the queenside. Now, with the second rank and a2 secure, he can continue with the attack without worrying about counter-play. This is the sort of prophylaxis that separates genuinely great players from the rest of us poor hacks.
very daring style of play
superb play
