Astonishing

Tal is brilliant in this very complex game. Sacrifices start pouring in as soon as the opening is over. Hecht has a chance for a draw, and is forced into a bad endgame which Tal converts.

If he takes on c3 white plays Nc4 and if ...Qd3, Rad1, ...Qe3+, Bf2, followed by Nd6+ winning the bishop on b7 plus black's king would be very exposed with the knight still on f8 which is , I believe, why he moved it to g6.

Umm...on move 16, why didn't black play Qxc3? Overall, an excellent game (even though I didn't really understand the sacs).
