Programs in Turn Based Chess?

I have noticed some really high rated TBC(turn based chess) players with ratings 2000+ have low ratings in Live chess.  Granted in TBC you have more analysis time and higher ratings will be the outcome. But does that justify 1500-1600 rated players in live chess to have 2000-2200 ratings in TBC?.....It seems a jump like that is a bit excessive.  what do you guys think?

I am not against the use of programs.  I think it can be used as a great learning tool.  It can fine tune an opening or to so solidify a middle game.  But if your going to use it to be a fake superhero....get a life!

anyways this was my first blog....just some random thoughts out loud.

i do not know why u think that if someone has 1600 live and 2000+ turn based means he use chess engine .my turn based rating vary 2100-2200 while my live is 1600+ i never use programs and other tools like analysing board but on turn based i spent 15-20 minutes to think and calculate while in live i spend 1-2 minutes per move and of course i do more mistakes.in my opinion players 2300+ should be suspected in using engines expecially when they have many games in progress and average time per move less than 3 hours and high percentage of wins over 80%.players 2000-2100 are weak i have played lot of them and i see luck of knowledge in their games.there is cheating forum group in this site u can read a lot about cheating there

Why?  Both sides have equal opportunity to analyze. So, I don't see how that might affect ratings.  However, that said, some people do not analyze well quickly or have habits that don't translate well into speed chess and there can be a discrepancy between live and turn-based, but, like you, I think there should be some correlation and no GREAT discrepancy. If there is, something is rotten in Denmark.
