Chess

Chess is a game played on an 8 x 8 board with pieces called chessmen.  The objective of this game is to trap the opponent's king in a checked position with no answer in order to achieve a checkmate

My first thought in this line of thinking is to play toward the center of the board in the direction of columns "D" and "E" as you develop your pieces to carefully protect your King by moving the Knights after the first move by the King's pawn of e2 to e4

This is refered to as an opening move and strategy.

My usual response to this is to attack the knights with my bishops, taking the knights when necessary. In the endgame, knight is superior to bishop.
