#1 lesson of chess:the Beginning

Submitted by chessallan on Thu, 08/07/2008 at 10:28am.

The beginning is probably simple if against new player but beware:Do not move piece more than once in beginning unless there is nothing to protect it and/or attack something better or the same value(Here are the values of pieces:Pawn:1 Knight:3 Bishop:3 and half Rook:5 Queen:9 in game,10 in checkmate King:priceless!).If he/she is better, try to develop as fast as possible. Here is a bad beginning for white and good beginning for white.

On your second opening.  6 Bxc6 puts the opposing King in Check and you win a Rook and a Knight for a Bishop.  A very good deal for White.
